Gravere obtained the autonomy in 1622.

Gravere lies on the right side of the Dora Riparia among little villages.

The village of Gravere can boast the "Certosa della Losa" which rose in 1189, thanks to Tommaso I of Savoy, instead of the previous Virgin Mary church.

The small bell tower of the building is in romanesque style, while the small chapel has many beautiful frescoes of the 14th century.

Another important element to be mentioned is the charming Baldachinaltar of the first half of the 15th century, probably designed by an unknown sculptor of the medieval Germany (as Guido Gentile thought)
